The Varendra Research Museum is open to all on the following days and times:

  • Saturday – Wednesday | 09:00 am – 4:00 pm 
  • Friday 10:00 am – 05:00 pm 
  • Arabian month of Ramadan | 09:00 am – 03:00 pm

( Prayer break from 01:00 – 2:30pm )

Thursdays the museum is closed for weekly holidays and holidays announced by the Government and the University of Rajshahi.

Tickets are available at the museum counter. Entry Fees are like below:

* Students and Researchers can use the library for free on open days.

Directions

The museum is located in Hatem Khan Mahalla in the heart of Rajshahi city, surrounded on the north by the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital Road, on the south by Court Road, and on the east by Museum Road. The Hatem Khan Bara Mosque and Rajshahi Sadar Hospital are also prominent local landmarks. (+ Google Map)

If you plan to visit the museum with more than 12 people, contact us ahead of time so we can help you plan your day.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, public health measures are in place so please do wear a mask while visiting the museum and sanitize your hand properly. The museum will also provide disinfection spray at the entrance. Yet individuals are requested to be cautious regarding the pandemic situation for the betterment of both parties.
